This blog post (and others to come) completely justifies my waiting until I lived somewhere fabulous to start my blog. 


This weekend the couture, art and, of course, jewels of the legendary Elizabeth Taylor were on exhibition at Christie's in London and I was not going to miss the opportunity to view it IRL (IN REAL LIFE!)


While everyone has heard, and seen, how amazing her jewellery is (particularly The Taylor-Burton Diamond), I was particularly taken aback by some of the art and haute couture.

I love this piece. Both the simplicity and the sentiment are overwhelming - not to mention the fact that this piece encapsulates two of the greatest legends of the 20th Century. 

These two beaded evening jackets by Versace are TO. DIE. FOR. The detail, the colours, Elizabeth.

The entire exhibition, which is headed to auction in New York in the middle of December after a world tour, was  perfectly curated and very representative of the undisputed and eternal Queen of Hollywood. Not to be missed.
